The Freedom School is a 6-week summer reading enrichment program provided at no cost to families. CDF Freedom Schools empower scholars to believe in their ability and responsibility to make a difference while instilling a love of reading to help children avoid summer learning loss.

HARAMBEE HERO
Harambee Heroes are an integral part of our daily Harambee celebrations. These heroes are volunteers who participate in Harambee as a read-aloud guest. Our Harambee Heroes play a vital role in our mission by sharing their love of reading with our community.
PROGRAMMING PARTNER
By partnering with our Freedom School, you will have the opportunity to serve as a program partner, sharing your knowledge and skills with our scholars. Our goal is to offer a range of programming that enriches the lives and experiences of our scholars. As a program partner, you will make a significant impact on the lives of these young individuals, empowering them with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.

Your donation will cover the cost of a scholar's expenses for one summer. This includes daily classroom instruction, field trips, snacks and healthy meals.

Your donation will support a CDF Freedom School event, such as our National Day of Social Action and End of Summer Showcase.
CLASSROOM

Your donation will cover the cost of one classroom for a summer. This includes hiring a qualified servant leader intern, classroom materials, and technology.
